Medieval Recipes

Introduction

With this Wiki I hope to have found the way to move my medieval recipes from the good old smudged paper notebook of the 20th century into the easily searched and shared notebook of the 21st century. Just have to be more careful about the smudges!

What's on here

It will come as no surprise that there are medieval recipes on here! There is a Table of contents, but another good way to get an idea of what's on here is through the tags. Through this link you can find all the tags used on this wiki. Through the tags, the recipes can be sorted into categories like "soups", "16th century", "lent" etc. Hopefully one day this will make it really simple to create a meal with recipes from one country and timeperiod!

Language

Most of this wiki will be in English, since that will make it usefull for most people. However, my native language is Dutch, and some of my recipes are already typed up in Dutch. If you want to know what language a page is in: if the page is entirely in Dutch, it will say so in the title of the page and a tag. No need to open that if you don't know Dutch. Some pages are in English, but contain a Dutch translation of the recipe as well. Those pages are tagged "Dutch", to make them easier to find for Dutch readers.

Nederlands

Een deel van deze wiki is in het Nederlands. Als je alleen de Nederlandse pagina's wilt bekijken, klik dan links onderaan de pagina op de tag "Dutch", en kijk vervolgens naar alle pagina's met die tag.
